Goldman Sachs completed the acquisition of a 13% stake in SOCAR Turkey Enerji, a utilities company, for $1.3bn. "The Bank paid $1.3bn for 13% of the company's shares. SOCAR Turkey has approximately a portfolio of 20bn in Turkey. This investment has become the greatest one coming into Turkey. This shows the trust for Turkish market. We will be able to pay our $1bn credit earlier than its time," Kenan Yavuz, SOCAR Turkey CEO.
