Hitachi completed the acquisition of AnsaldoBreda and Ansaldo STS from Finmeccanica.

Hitachi, a company that delivers digital solutions, completed the acquisition of AnsaldoBreda, a rolling stock manufacturer company, and Ansaldo STS, a transportation company, from Finmeccanica, a multinational company specialising in aerospace, defence and security, for $33m. "With the sale of the Transportation business, Finmeccanica becomes a pure Aerospace, Defence and Security player. This is a key step in the execution of our Industrial Plan, aimed at focusing and strengthening the Group in the core business and at delivering on our economic and financial objectives.
