Synopsis
AMC Theaters, a US-based movie theater chain, completed the acquisition of Nordic Cinema, a Swedish company which owns 103 cinemas and 590 cinema saloons in six countries, from private equity firm Bridgepoint and broadcasting firm Bonnier for $929m. "For the third time in the past twelve months, we believe we have discovered a substantial acquisition that gives AMC yet another opportunity to further expand and diversify our geographic reach and more firmly establish AMC as the undisputed leader in movie exhibition worldwide," Adam Aron, AMC CEO and President.
