A Macquarie Group-led consortium completed the acquisition of a stake in Endeavour Energy, the operator of the electrical distribution network for Greater Western Sydney, the Blue Mountains, the Southern Highlands and the Illawarra region of NSW, from New South Wales government for A$7.6bn. "Through initiatives like asset recycling and our strong financial management, we have catapulted NSW from the bottom of the national economic ladder right to the very top," Dominic Perrottet, NSW treasurer.
