Synlab completed the acquisition of ALcontrol.

Synlab, a provider of laboratory services in Europe, completed the acquisition of ALcontrol, a major European provider of environmental testing services. Financial terms were not disclosed. "The expansion of our laboratory network and testing services portfolio through the acquisition of ALcontrol is a big step for Synlab's Environmental Business Unit as it significantly extends our customer range in Europe. Synlab and ALcontrol are natural partners since both companies have operations in different parts of the European Union. Synlab offers a broad and deep diagnostics portfolio whereas ALcontrol has extensive expertise in high-throughput processing, further enabled by sophisticated IT services," Bartl Wimmer, Synlab Group CEO.
