Stony Brook Medicine acquired Eastern Long Island Hospital.

Stony Brook Medicine, the university hospital of Stony Brook University, acquired Eastern Long Island Hospital, a hospital in Greenport, New York. Financial terms were not disclosed. The merger enables the East End hospital to “connect to resources of major university hospital,” Dr. Margaret McGovern, vice president for health system clinical programs and strategy at Stony Brook Medicine, said.
