CVC has acquired 200m shares, which amount to, approximately, 20.072% of the share capital of Gas Natural, for €3.8bn, which corresponds to a price of €19 per share. Repsol is on track to cut its debt to below €7bn by the end of 2017, down from €8.1bn at the end of 2016 and around €12bn euros a year earlier.
