Aperam, a company, listed on the Amsterdam, Brussels, Paris, Madrid and Luxembourg stock exchanges and with facilities in Brazil, Belgium and France, which concentrates on the production of stainless and speciality steel, acquired VDM Metals, a developer of nickel and nickel alloys, for €438m from Lindsay Goldberg. The acquisition is expected to unlock about €20m of synergies by 2020, enhance cost competitiveness and provide a strong platform to further develop new products and applications for alloys & specialities materials. The Transaction is expected to be EPS and FCF enhancing from year 1 and executed in line with Aperam’s financial policy.
