Hekabio, a Japanese cancer treatment company, and Alpha Tau Medical, an Israeli medical device company, established a joint venture in Japan. The purpose of the newly formed company, Alpha Tau Medical K.K., is to supply and distribute to the Japanese market a highly potent and conformal alpha radiation-based cancer treatment, the Alpha DaRT.
