Canadian Tire Corp, a Canadian retail company which sells a wide range of automotive, hardware, sports and leisure, and home products., acquired Helly Hansen, a leading global brand in sportswear and workwear based in Oslo, from Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan, a pension fund company, for C$985m. "For more than ten years, Helly Hansen has been an exceptional fit with CTC and this acquisition will strengthen our assortment across all of our banners," said Stephen Wetmore, President and CEO, Canadian Tire Corporation.
