Dürr, a global mechanical and plant engineering firm, completed the acquisition of industrial environmental technology business of Babcock & Wilcox, an energy technology and service provider company. Financial terms were not disclosed. “This new combination establishes a much wider and stronger product portfolio and includes the services of 1.5k highly skilled workforce with sales of around €400m. We are well placed to offer our customers all exhaust-air purification technologies from a single source along with advanced acoustic solutions. Additionally, our synergies are expected to create cost savings in procurement and through product standardization,” Daniel Schmitt, Dürr CEO of the Clean Technology Systems division.
