Aventus Property Group, a real estate investment trust focused on retail real estate, to pay Brett Blundy and Darren Holland $143m to internalise management. The proposal to acquire the manager of the Aventus Retail Property Fund, which runs large-format centres that house tenants such as Bunnings, Harvey Norman, and JB Hi-Fi, as well as supermarkets and childcare centres, was revealed as the trust reported a 25% rise in funds from operations to $89m. The result was in line with revised guidance as it weathered the weakening housing market, to which its portfolio of homemaker centres is closely aligned.
