Golden Gate Capital acquired Active Minerals International.

Golden Gate Capital has completed the acquisition of Active Minerals International from Merit Capital Partners. Financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed. Active Minerals International, LLC produces and markets kaolin and gel attapulgite clay minerals. The company offers vermiculite for potting soil, automotive products, ceramics, drywalls, electronics, insulations, and fireproofing; geo-synthet and many others. “We are excited to partner with Golden Gate Capital, who is fully aligned with our long-term strategic vision and has a demonstrated track record of building long-term value for its portfolio companies,” says Active Minerals International's President and Chief Executive Officer Dennis Parker.
