National Bank of Canada acquired EquiLend from JP Morgan.

Synopsis

National Bank of Canada, the 4th largest investment bank in Canada, acquired EquiLend, which develops and operates a platform for trading and post-trade services in the United States, Canada, and Europe, from JP Morgan. Financial terms were not disclosed. Commenting on the sale, Brian Lamb, CEO of EquiLend, said: “NBC is a strong supporter of fintech and automation in the securities finance market, and as such we couldn’t ask for a more fitting partner. We look forward to working with all of our owners and 130 other clients in the global securities finance market as we continue to deliver innovative new technology solutions.”
