Inalla and Enerla acquired a stake in La Compañía de Electricidad de San Pedro de Macorís from InterEnergy. CESPM owns and operates an electricity generation facility in the province of San Pedro de Macorís, Dominican Republic, consisting of three 98.2 MW combined-cycle gas turbines, from Consorcio Energético Punta Cana-Macao, S.A., an affiliate of InterEnergy. The parties expect to convert the power plant into a gas powered facility and they have agreed to consummate the transaction in staggered closings, which are subject to certain conditions, including the receipt of regulatory approvals, the commercial operation date of the converted power plant and the completion of certain upgrades to the facility. The price has not been disclosed.
