MOL Chemical Tankers, a Singaporean subsidiary of Mitsui O.S.K. Linesagreed to acquire 100% shares of Nordic Tankers, operator of deep-sea stainless-steel chemical tankers, from Triton. The acquisition of NT by MOLCT shall create a stronger business platform as one of the worldwide major owners/operators for stainless-steel chemical tankers and shall benefit customers by providing more competitive options. Tsuneo Watanabe, MOL Chemical Tankers CEO, said: "We are really excited to acquire NT, which shall create a lot of synergies with MOLCT in the chemical tanker industry. We are confident enough that the collaboration between MOLCT and NT should provide better and more efficient services to all existing customers of them.
