Lactalis acquired Greenland Group from Americana Group.

LACTALIS - HALAWA JV Group has acquired 100% of the shares of Green Land Company in Egypt, which was previously owned by Americana Group. Green Land owned 5 factories in Egypt and counts 1,250 people producing mainly cheeses. This acquisition will strengthen the position of LACTALIS - HALAWA JV Group as a major producer of dairy products in Egypt. This investment shows the constant interest of Lactalis Group to develop the Egyptian dairy market with his partner M.HALAWA. The Joint Venture LACTALIS - HALAWA existed since 1997.
