Danone to acquire a minority stake in ProViva from Skanemejerier.

Danone, a multinational food-products corporation, agreed to acquire a minority stake in ProViva, which produces beverages, from Skanemejerier, which wholesales and distributes milk and dairy products. Financial terms were not disclosed. Danone already holds a major stake in ProViva and thus strengthens its position as the majority shareholder in the company. The acquisition is in line with the company’s strategy to grow in functional foods and probiotic products.
