Nutrien, the world's largest provider of crop inputs and services, signed a binding agreement to acquire Ruralco Holdings, an Australian diversified agricultural company, headquartered in Hobart, for A$469m. The per share price is A$4.4 represents a 44% premium to Ruralco's last close. "The combination of our Landmark operations with Ruralco in Australia is expected to provide significant benefits for all stakeholders including delivering excellent value for both Ruralco and Nutrien shareholders. The acquisition is anticipated to be immediately accretive to Nutrien and is expected to have a post-synergy EBITDA multiple of 5.6 based on 2018 results," Chuck Magro, Nutrien President and CEO.
