Airbnb acquired HotelTonight, expanding its hotel-booking business.

Airbnb has bought HotelTonight, an app for finding hotel rooms at a discount, as it wades deeper into the hotel-booking business to attract a wider variety of travelers. Financial terms were not disclosed. The acquisition of HotelTonight accelerates Airbnb work to build an end-to-end travel platform that serves everyone, meeting enormous demand from—and for—boutique hotels.
