Hewlett Packard Enterprise agreed to acquire Cray, a global supercomputer maker, for $35.00 per share in cash, in a transaction valued at approximately $1.3bn, net of cash. The price of $35.00 per share implies premium of 17.4% to the closing price on a day before the announcement. "By combining our world-class teams and technology, we will have the opportunity to drive the next generation of high performance computing and play an important part in advancing the way people live and work," said Antonio Neri, President and CEO, HPE.
