Private equity firm Vespa Capital invested in La Marche de Leopold, a French organic food store operator. The firms manager and majority shareholder, Benjamin Quiras, ceded control of the head structure Biomen Distribution to Vespa Capital, while retaining the presidency. Financial terms were not disclosed. "We are very pleased to announce our acquisition of a majority stake in the Leopold Market, which corresponds in all respects to Vespa Capital's investment strategy in successful SMEs, alongside their founders. We are delighted to accompany the CEO in this new phase, to enable him to accelerate his development and to associate the management team to the success of the group." said Vespa in a statement.
