Synopsis

Royal Dutch Shell, which explores, produces and refines petroleum, agreed to acquire a 50% stake in Meretoyakhaneftegaz, a Gazprom Neft subsidiary that holds licensing rights to the Meretoyakhinskoye oil field, from Gazprom Neft. Financial terms were not disclosed.
