MSC completed the acquisition of a 49% stake in Messina Group for $29m.

MSC, a Swiss-Italian international shipping line, completed the acquisition of a 49% stake in Messina Group, the Genoa-based shipping company, for $29m. In addition to the capital Gianluigi Aponte put into Messina Group, the Messina family put €5m on the table to re-launch the business which will benefit from several operative synergies between the Italian and the Swiss firms.
