Apollo Global-backed Nova KBM to acquire Abanka.

Synopsis

Apollo Global-backed Nova KBM, Slovenia's second biggest bank, offered to acquire Abanka, a Slovenian bank. Hungarian bank OTP was the other bidder for Abanka. Financial terms were not disclosed. Slovenia promised to sell Abanka, which is 100% state owned, in exchange for the European Commission’s approval of state aid to the bank in 2013.
