Synopsis

Edit

Investcorp Credit Management, a subsidiary of Investcorp Bank, completed the acquisition of a majority stake in CM Investment Partners, that serves as the external investment adviser to Investcorp Credit Management. Financial terms were not disclosed. Under the deal, CMIP will form part of Investcorp's Credit Management business, further driving Investcorp's growth strategy with opportunities for growth in Private Credit, including the BDC space. The acquisition marks Investcorp's entry into middle-market lending in the U.S., allowing Investcorp to reach a new market segment. “We are delighted to announce the acquisition of CMIP, marking our entry into ‘middle-market’ lending in the U.S. We are seeing significant opportunities in the BDC space and we believe that this acquisition will enable us to capitalize on these opportunities going forward. It also allows us to reach a new client segment as we look to grow our client base by delivering our expertise to a wider group of shareholders and high-net-worth individuals in the U.S,” Jeremy Ghose, Investcorp Credit Management Head.
