Quona Capital led a $58m investment round in Klar, a Mexican startup bidding to take on traditional credit cards and debit services. The round saw participation from Santander Innoventures, aCrew (ex-Aspect Ventures), FJ Labs, Arc Labs, and Western Technology Investment. The funding will provide capital to help Klar launch its product in Mexico, and reach 100k new users in 2020. "We have been impressed by Klar's team, execution and, most importantly, ability to imprint a truly customer-centric approach to an ambitious product vision," Manuel Silva Martínez, Santander InnoVentures Head of Investments.
