Major League Baseball Players Association, a non-profit organization that provides representation services for major league baseball players with baseball clubs, in its joint venture with the National Football League Players Association and Redbird Capital to form OneTeam Partners, a provider of advocacy services to athletes. RedBird Capital invested $125m into the new company and holds a roughly 40% stake. “The creation of OneTeam has the potential to advance the interests of athletes in all sports. We have grown through innovation in the past decade, whether through the creation of ACE Media, One Team Collective, or REP Worldwide, and OneTeam is the next step in our ability to expand our services to players and partners,” DeMaurice Smith, NFLPA Executive Director.
