AstroBank to acquire the Cypriot operations of National Bank of Greece.

AstroBank, a Cyprus registered bank, agreed to acquire the Cypriot operations of National Bank of Greece, a global banking and financial services company. Financial terms were not disclosed. The transaction is expected to have a positive impact on NBG’s CET1 ratio. Closing of the transaction is subject to approval from the Central Bank of Cyprus and the Commission for the Protection of Competition in Cyprus.
