Resource Partners, a private equity firm, completed the acquisition of a majority stake in Maced, a producer and distributor of natural dog treats. Financial terms were not disclosed. "The investment in Maced gives us the opportunity to enter the pet treats segment, the fastest growing category of the pet food market. Maced is one of the key producers in the region in a very attractive niche of natural meat snacks for dogs.
