Equistone-backed United Initiators, a manufacturer of organic peroxides, persulfates and hydrogen peroxide, completed the acquisition of PeroxyChem Canada, a chemical plant in Prince George, Canada. Financial terms were not disclosed. The agreement to divest the Canadian H2O2 plant to United Initiators will address the Canadian Competition Bureau and US Federal Trade Commission’s competition concerns in the H2O2 markets in the Pacific Northwest if Evonik acquired Peroxychem.
