Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec completed the acquisition of a minority stake in Cirque du Solei Entertainment Group, a Montreal-based entertainment company and a contemporary circus producer,l from the company’s founder, Guy Laliberte, for $75m. Following this investment, CDPQ owns nearly 20% of Cirque du Soleil. “We are happy to strengthen our presence among shareholders of Cirque du Soleil, an iconic entertainment brand with worldwide renown.
