Mittmedia and Amedia completed the acquisition of Hall Media from Herenco.

Two media companies Mittmedia and Amedia completed the acquisition of Hall Media, a local newspaper group based in Jonkoping, Sweden, from Herenco, a holding company. Mittmedia owns 51% of Hall Media and Amedia 49%. Financial terms were not disclosed. “We are delighted that we have now reached an agreement with Hall Media. Amedia has a long tradition of creating profitable local journalism and we are convinced that we can contribute with knowledge and power in the development of the newspaper group going forward. We feel confident that we have a strategy that works and for that reason it is given to us to actively participate in the ongoing structuring of the Swedish local newspaper market,” Are Stokstad, Amedia CEO.
