Synopsis

Edit

Shell Midstream Partners, a developer of pipelines and other midstream assets, completed the acquisition of Mattox Pipeline, a company that transports oil into the Proteus and Endymion systems, from Royal Dutch Shell, an oil and chemical group engaged in the exploration, production, transportation, refining, distribution and marketing of crude oil, gas, and petroleum products, for $3.8bn. "Today is an important day in our journey as an MLP. This transaction positions the Partnership well for the future, simplifying our structure and lowering our cost of capital. Our diversified portfolio continues to deliver sustainable growth – and I’m pleased with the addition of the Mattox Pipeline and Norco logistics assets, which will enhance our strategic position both onshore and offshore," Kevin Nichols, Shell Midstream Partners CEO.
