Santander to acquire Superdigital from its Brazilian unit for $60m.

Synopsis

Spain’s Banco Santander, a commercial bank and financial services company, is set to acquire Superdigital, a fintech company, from Banco Santander Brasil for $60m. The Brazilian unit said that after the sale, the Spanish group plans to launch Superdigital virtual wallets in more countries. Superdigital, which was acquired by Santander Brasil in 2017, has 1.9m accounts.
