Align Technology, a manufacturer of 3D digital scanners and clear aligners used in orthodontics, completed the acquisition of exocad, a software company driving digital dentistry, from The Carlyle Group for €376m ($419m). "Dentistry today is evolving digitally, with technology advances and consumer awareness driving new opportunities in ortho-restorative and comprehensive treatment.
