Vista Equity Partners, Silver Lake Partners, General Atlantic, KKR and Abu Dhabi Investment Authority agreed to invest in Jio Platforms, an Indian digital services company part of the Reliance Industries, at a $65bn valuation. Vista and KKR both acquired 2.3% stakes for $1.5bn each, General Atlantic acquired a 1.3% stake for $870m, while Silver Lake Partners acquired a 1.1% stake for $747m. "Few companies have the potential to transform a country’s digital ecosystem in the way that Jio Platforms is doing in India, and potentially worldwide. Silver Lake agreed to invest $601m more to increase its stake in Jio Platform to 2.08%. Mubadala Investment Company agreed to acquire a 1.85% stake in Jio Platforms for $1.2bn at a $65bn valuation. ADIA agreed to acquire a 1.16% stake for $752m. TPG Capital agreed to acquire a 0.93% stake in Jio Platform for $598m. L Catterton agreed to acquire a 0.39% stake in Jio Platform for c. $249m. PIF agreed to acquire a 2.32% stake in Jio Platforms for $1.5bn. Intel Capital agreed to acquire a 0.39% stake in Jio Platform for $254m. Qualcomm Ventures agreed to acquire a 0.15% stake for $97m. Google agreed to acquire a 7.73% stake in Jio Platforms for $4.5bn. On 23 November 2020, Google completed the acquisition of a 7.73% stake in Jio Platforms for $4.5bn.
