Caixa Capital and CDTI led a $58m Series A funding round in MealFood Europe.

Caixa Capital, a venture capital firm, and CDTI, a public organization for technology development, led a $58m Series A funding round in MealFood Europe, a company focused on breeding and processing of insects for animal feed. Caixa Capital and CDTI will take a 40% stake in the company. This investment will help to consolidate MealFood Europe and its innovative technological solutions in the insect industry. It will scale up its production to cover the huge global demand for high-quality protein and other mealworm products, enabling its R&D to reach new heights.
