Primary Group to acquire a majority stake in UK General Insurance from JC Flowers.

Primary Group, a Bermudan-based investment holding company, agreed to acquire a majority stake in UK General Insurance, an insurance company in Leeds, from JC Flowers, a US-based private equity company. Financial terms were not disclosed. “We are delighted to become the majority shareholder in UK General and believe the business is well-positioned to build its presence in the UK insurance market at a time of major change for the MGA sector,” Michael Warren, Primary Group CFO.
