Energias de Portugal, the Portugal’s largest utility, agreed to acquire Viesgo, the fourth distributor of electricity in Spain, from Macquarie Group, a diversified financial group, for $2.28bn incl. debt. “This new partnership will pave the way for a joint project at the forefront of the energy sector both in competitiveness and innovation and with enormous growth potential," Miguel Antoñanzas, Viesgo President.
