CICC, one of China's leading investment banking firms, led a $495m funding round in MissFresh, a Chinese e-grocer, with participation from Goldman Sachs, Tencent, Tiger Global, ICBC and Abu Dhabi Capital Group. MissFresh chief financial officer Wang Jun said in a WeChat post that the new funds will be deployed to enhance the company’s “smart chain” technology — including its intelligent warehouse replenishment system — and broader supply chain capabilities.
