Gencor Industries to acquire Blaw-Knox from Volvo.

Gencor Industries, a company that manufactures asphalt plants, soil remediation plants, combustion systems, and screening equipment for the construction industry, to acquire Blaw-Knox, a manufacturer of asphalt road-paving equipment, from Volvo, a designer and manufacturer of construction machines. Financial terms were not diclosed. “With our already strong position in the asphalt industry, this acquisition will afford Gencor access to the venerable brand of Blaw-Knox, and provide an entry into the hot mix paver segment.
