Andrew Forrest completed the acquisition of R.M. Williams from L Catterton.

Andrew Forrest, the Australian mining billionaire, completed the acquisition of R.M. Williams, a footwear and clothing company, from L Catterton, an American private equity company. The transaction was carried out through Tattarang, a private equity group owned by Mr Forrest. Financial terms were not disclosed. “Andrew and I want to continue the legacy of this great company, and that means continuing to employ and support the Australians that have built and grown the brand. By bringing R.M. Williams back into Australian hands, we will ensure the Australian craftmanship continues to be loved and worn all around the world,” Andrew Forest, Tattarang owner.
