Huntington Bancshares, a regional bank holding company, completed the merger with TCF Financial, a Michigan-based financial holding company, in a $6.1bn deal. "This merger combines the best of both companies and provides the scale and resources to drive increased long-term shareholder value. On May 25, 2021; Huntington and TCF announce the receipt of all approvals for the $6.1bn merger.
