Electronic Arts, a provider of interactive entertainment, completed the acquisition of Glu Mobile, a global developer and publisher of mobile games, for $2.1bn. The transaction is anticipated to close in the quarter ending June 30, 2021, subject to approval by the Glu stockholders, the receipt of required regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions. “Our acquisition of Glu combines amazing teams and deeply-engaging products to create a mobile games leader with proven expertise across many fast-growing genres.
