Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets, an alternative asset manager, offered to acquire Vocus Group, a fibre network operator, for $2.6bn. Vocus Group announced it is in the best interests of its shareholders to explore the potential for a transaction with MIRA, and allowed the bidder access its books for a review. On February 23, 2021, Macquarie agreed to team up with Aware Super, a pension fund, for the takeover of Vocus.
