Supermarket Income REIT completed the acquisition of a 25.5% stake in Sainsbury's properties from Aviva Investors for $159m.

Supermarket Income REIT, a grocery property investment trust, completed the acquisition of a 25.5% stake in Sainsbury's portfolios of supermarket properties from Aviva Investors, an asset management company, for $159m. "This acquisition increases the size of our investment in this high-quality Sainsbury's property portfolio through our joint venture with British Airways Pension Trustees Limited. We will work closely with our tenant and co-owner, Sainsbury's, to deliver a long term occupational solution for them,” Nick Hewson, Supermarket Income REIT Chairman.
