Smithfield Foods, a company engaged in meat business, agreed to acquire Mecom Group, a meat processing company, from Penta Investments, a private equity firm. Financial terms were not disclosed. Crucial to the success has been the outstanding commitment, drive and industrial expertise of the management team, led by Ladislav Čechovič.
