Sojitz Group, a sogo shosha based in Tokyo, Japan, agreed to acquire Southwest Rail Industries, a US company that operates a railcar leasing business headquartered in Texas. Financial terms were not disclosed. Sojitz Group aims to further expand its railway service business in North America and contribute to the realization of a decarbonized and sustainable society.
