Synopsis
Jungle Ventures, a venture capital firm that invests in regional or global technology category firms from Asia, led a $17m Series B funding round in Leap Finance, an Indian firm that creates financial products and services that help Indian students. The round had participation from investors Sequoia India and Owl Ventures. "India is the second-largest market globally for overseas enrolment, and in just a decade higher education enrolments are up by 8 million. This presents a huge opportunity in an otherwise fragmented landscape. Leap is addressing this huge opportunity through its end-to-end tech platform and a community-first approach," Amit Anand, Jungle Ventures Founding Partner.
